Description
If you’re approaching Deanston Distillery from Glasgow or Edinburgh, it’s just a 45-minute drive. Stirling lies just eight miles away. Just in front of the charming Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, is the River Teith which surrounds the distillery.
Prior to the transformation into a distillery, Deanston has spent 180 years as a cotton mill. This transformation commenced in the 1960’s and the distillery has stuck to treating whisky lovers and enthusiasts to traditional scotch whisky. You can visit the location and get acquainted with how the company functions and as well as have a taste of the great whisky goodness.
At the café owned by Deanston Distillery – the Coffy Bothy, you can get a variety of good food, from munches to soups. The café is classy with some of the best professional chefs in the country. You also have a variety of teas and coffee that you can request alongside a specially prepared Bothy cake.
